ABOUT US!

Northumberland Youth For Christ is an interdenominational ministry to the youth and families of Northumberland County in Ontario Canada.

Headquartered at 330 Division St., Cobourg, we are active in Port Hope, Cobourg, Colborne, Brighton and Campbellford.

We provide many services including, counselling, leadership development and advocacy. We are an organization dedicated to working with youth, families and communities to overcome despair, injustice and poverty. As followers of Jesus, we are motivated by God's love for all people regardless of race, religion, gender or ethnicity. The vision of Northumberland Youth For Christ is to build a committed and responsible generation of believers in Jesus Christ.

Since 1985, Northumberland Youth For Christ has engaged in reaching out to youth and families across the county. Growing steadily, God has moved this ministry from one staff person to 6, from 6 volunteers to over 80, and from knowing about 12 teens to seeing over 200 per week.

Offering everything from simple, safe friendships with youth to counselling and social supports, Northumberland Youth For Christ is dedicated to the vision of Youth For Christ International, which is, "As part of the body of Christ, to see every young person in every people group in every nation have the opportunity to make an informed decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ and become a part of the local church."

We will do our part, "as part of the body of Christ, to see every young person in every people group in Northumberland County have the opportunity to make an informed decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ and become a part of the local church."
