Northumberland Youth For Christ

We seek to work in partnerships whenever possible and with people of every 'nation, tribe, and tongue'.

  • Weekly small group meetings for youth.
  • In school services:

    • Restorative Justice conferencing, training and development.
    • International mission experiences.
    • Regular weekly contact with a minimum of 200 youth across the county.
    • Periodic contact with upwards of 1,000 youth in any one week through special events.
      • Concerts                                                        Coffee houses
        • Sports events                                            Retreats
          • Camps                                         Music Team

This is all accomplished with 4 full time staff, 2 part time staff (1 of whom we are trying to get to full time) and approximately 85 volunteers.

- Our ministry presents the person and values of Jesus Christ while caring for the whole person.
- Quality contact with youth and their families is the key.
- Our vision is to build people, not programs.  This means a one-on-one and small group focus.
- Although we have, and periodically do, run large scale events, these are not our primary focus.
- More than anything else, youth need high quality mentors and responsible adults who are willing to pour their lives and    resources into young people.
- This is what we do!
